Artwork Preparation

1. Use images with a resolution of at least 300 DPI

Use images and graphics with a resolution of 300 DPI or higher at their actual size to achieve clear and sharp print results. Embed all images into your artwork file before submitting it to prevent missing or incorrectly displayed graphics.

2. Use the correct colour values for grey elements

When creating grey elements, use only the K (black) channel and set its value between 0% and 100%. Keep the C (cyan), M (magenta), and Y (yellow) values at 0%.

3.. Use the correct colour values for black elements

Use pure black (C: 0%, M: 0%, Y: 0%, K: 100%) for black text, thin lines, and small design elements. Set these elements to overprint where appropriate to prevent unwanted white gaps around text or fine details and achieve cleaner edges.

4. Use a maximum of two colours for lines thinner than 2 pt

Use no more than one or two colours for lines that are 2 pt thick or thinner. You can use four-colour printing for thicker lines, but we recommend keeping fine lines simple to maintain clarity and definition.

5. Convert fonts to outlines or embed them in your file

Convert all fonts to outlines or embed the fonts when saving your artwork as a PDF. This helps prevent font-related issues and ensures your text displays correctly during the printing process.

6. Save your artwork as PDF/X-1a

For the best printing results, save and upload your artwork as a PDF/X-1a file. This format helps maintain important print settings, including fonts, colours, images, and other artwork elements throughout the production process.

7. Check your overprint settings

Check all overprint settings before submitting your artwork. Make sure you only enable overprint for elements that require it. Incorrect overprint settings can cause certain design elements to appear differently from your intended artwork.
